Mobile: Your Top Marketing Priority
Scott Navratil

Marketing has made a huge shift in the last 10 years in the way it is done. Most businesses used to focus on print marketing or tv commercials. However, now the main focus for businesses is, or at least should be, mobile. When you can literally reach all your current customers in 30 seconds by sending a text and quickly and easily reach customers you never thought possible with social media and online ads, suddenly, you realize how valuable mobile marketing really is to your business. Never have businesses had such a valuable reach as they do now, which is why it is so important that you make mobile a top marketing priority. Here are some ways you can market to customers through mobile, thanks to Clapway.

SMS Marketing

One of the best ways to communicate with your customers is through texting. While having a phone number available for calling is still important, you will save a lot of time for you and your customers by simply allowing them to text you to get the information they need. This is especially efficient with an artificial intelligence platform that can recognize their question and text an answer back to them within seconds ensuring they get an answer to their question as quickly as possible.

QR Codes

A QR code is something your customers can easily scan with their phone to get taken to more information about your business. The QR code can take them to a place where they sign up for your texting services, to more information about your company on your website, to a giveaway they are entering, or many more other options. Customers like being able to get to a website super fast by scanning a QR code instead of having to type a url into their internet browser. Usually, you would post a QR code in your establishment for customers to get to, but it could also be in other print ads.

Location-based marketing

The idea behind this method is that your ads are targeted to people who are already in your area. Basically, the ads are sent to anyone who has a smartphone that pings within a certain distance of your business. This works for both current customers and new ones since it is all dependent on those who are close by. You’ll have to determine if it works for your business or not since some business are based in impulsive buys more than others. A restaurant, for example, would want to try this type of marketing whereas a law firm might not benefit from it.

Mobile search ads

People spend a lot of time on their phones just browsing the internet and looking for new businesses. If SEO isn’t quite enough to get your site to come up at the top of Google searches, then paying for advertisements from Google is a huge help. While people are searching for you, an ad at the top of Google’s searches will bring them right to you so you don’t have to do so much work.

Social media ads

A lot of people surf the web almost exclusively through social media on their smartphones. So, it is certainly worth it to pay social media advertisements. This is a really great way to reach new customers because it will show up to anyone interested in your product or service and not just current customers.
