As with everything new that comes out, there will always be a period where there are a few bugs, and as millions of people use the new device, problems will quickly get resolved. But the real question is what problems people are reporting with the Apple iOS 8 update. You’re going to have to decide if you should update now or wait a little bit for the bugs to get worked out.
What are people reporting?
According to PC Magazine, the news reports are flooding with the iOS 8 update and the problems that have come with it. One of these things people are complaining about is how slow Wi-Fi is on all the Apple devices with the update. Not being able to connect to Wi-Fi and have good speeds is a huge problem for a lot of people, especially those who use their technology at work regularly but don’t want a huge data plan.
The other problem getting reported is that devices are draining battery way too fast on the new update. Though this problem does seem to be a little hit and miss, it is being widely reported. Draining battery is a huge issue for most people, as most smartphones can’t make it through more than one day anyway. It may be a huge problem to take away battery life, especially when people are already struggling to get through one day sometimes.
Is it worth it?
With all the improvements that come with Apple iOS 8, it may be worth the download now. Sure, you might need to make sure you have a charging cord in your car for emergencies or may have to try a few tricks to get your Wi-Fi speed up, but in the end, it will be worth it to have the access and changeability that comes with the update. But if battery life or Wi-Fi is really important to you, you might want to wait a few months and see if Apple sends out patches to fix the problem first.
