How to build your brand through mobile marketing
Scott Navratil

The best way to get more customers is to start with current, loyal customers. Nothing is better for your business growth than word of mouth, whether that be a positive thing or a negative. What you need to do is learn how to build your brand through mobile marketing. Brand recognition may be just what you need to help boost your sales and bring in more customers than ever before. But how can you do that with mobile marketing?

Blurred lines

The lines between all the different aspects of the digital world or between different methods of marketing are not longer clean cut. According to Mobile Marketer, these lines have blurred quite a bit making it hard to tell what exactly is working. Everything has gotten messy and unorganized, but it has to be that way. This is a fast-moving world where the technology is changing from day to day, which means you have to constantly be changing. There will always be customers ahead of the curve and those who are a little bit slower to catch up. But since everything is always moving, and all your customers are moving at different paces, you’ll need to blur the lines a little. Do some older advertising and some newer advertising at the same time to compensate.

Start with the basics

The first thing you need to do is work with the customers you already have. If they aren’t happy, they won’t say anything good about you to their friends. You can do this by offering loyalty discounts or coupons. If they are signed up for your text club, send them messages offering discounts. Make sure they know you offer text-in customer service, so they don’t have to call for every little thing. At the end of the day, a happy customer is one who feels like they’ve been given special service and discounts.

The next thing you need to do is ensure your social media is set up and being taken care of. If a customer is going to complain, it is likely going to be on your Facebook wall right after making a bad purchase and on their mobile device. Make this available to them. It is more of a controlled environment than the rest of the web and allows you to address any problems within your company. It shows other customers that you do address problems and that they are typically accidental.

Website updates

If people can’t quickly access your website through their smartphone, you can give up on trying to build your brand. If a friend tells you about a great company they have worked with, you will probably end up pulling up their site on your phone right then to check it out. And if you have any difficulties reaching the site or navigating through it, you’ll just stop. Every second of your time is precious, which is why you won’t waste time on things that are difficult or don’t quickly catch your attention. Build your website to emphasize your brand while also making things as seamless as possible for your customers. Keep in mind that everything you do needs to be geared towards mobile, but what you do with mobile might blur together a bit. Your ultimate goal is to build your brand and make sure your customers are happy about it.
