According to Businessweek, Facebook was making no money on mobile until the second quarter of last year. Not only was Facebook not taking advantage of an extra chance to make cash, it lost some investors on Wall Street. The company was at an all time low last October, but now it has recovered. You can expect Facebook is making a tidy sum from the cash it brings in when advertising on mobile. It is where customers are always looking and where you can go to bring more customers in. The only problem for Facebook is that most people who advertise with them are app creators. If Facebook could get more advertising from outside businesses, Zuckerberg would be sitting pretty, well, prettier than he already is.

Getting your business set up for mobile viewing

Your business will probably want to do some online advertising, but much of that should be targeted towards mobile viewing. Most of your customers are going to be browsing the web from their phones. It is much more convenient than trying to pull out a computer, and the privacy of knowing nobody can check your browser history is a huge draw for a lot of people. You can do this by focusing on how your site looks from a mobile view and by checking to make sure you are set up with all social media sites, where your customers will be browsing.

Drawing customers to your site

Just having a great site or great Facebook page is not enough because it means nothing if nobody checks it out. To draw more people to your site, so they will start browsing your products, you will want to prompt them. The easiest way to do this is to text your customers. Even if they weren’t considering making a purchase, a text could be enough to get them looking and get them interested. You may end up with a surprise amount of business by doing this simple thing. Make sure your site looks good on mobile and then get customers there with a quick text.

What kind of texts to send

The best kind of texts to send are those with deals. A customer is much more likely to check out your products if they think they are getting a great deal. Even if one thing is on sale, they will probably check it out. More than likely, they will see more things they want and buy them, but at the very least, you have gotten a new customer.
