Top 5 ways to use mobile marketing
Scott Navratil

We all know that mobile is at the top of its game. New phones are always coming out with new capabilities, and the number of people who still don’t own smartphones is diminishing significantly. That is why it is so important that you are doing mobile marketing; it is time to make sure you are reaching out to customers in a way that is comfortable for them. Here are five ways, courtesy of Business 2 Community, to use mobile marketing effectively.

1. Messaging

Over 98% of texts that you send to customers will be opened, and they are typically opened within a few minutes of being received. On top of that, messages with links in them that you’ve sent directly to a customer usually have a 15% click-view rate, which is really great when it comes to marketing. One of the most powerful ways you can reach a customer is through messaging because it is direct and clear on what is being said.

2. Websites

Now that more people are accessing websites through their phones than they are through computers, it is important that you have optimized your mobile site. Usability is really important, and if a customer feels frustrated by your site at all, they are more likely to go to a competitor.

3. Apps

Using a mobile app is way easier for many customers, especially when it comes to buying things or accessing customer portals. If they can just save all their info into a mobile app, customers are more likely to come back regularly, which will increase your sales. Plus, a usable mobile app is a huge draw for customers who will need to regularly access their information.

4. QR Codes

A super easy way to reach new customers is to give them a QR Code to scan. By putting it in your store or in your advertisements, your customers can more easily sign up for texting, emails, or even access your website.

5. Augmented Reality

This is still a fairly new concept, but essentially, it allows your customers to view the real world through a computer. For example, a person might be able to see how furniture would look in their living room before buying it instead of taking a shot in the dark. It is a really new way of doing things but is a good way to use mobile marketing to give more to customers.
